Hello, my name is Drew Vanderhyde, and I am the creator of SLAYETTOS! I have been passionately dancing for 13 years, with almost 7 years dedicated to dancing in heels. Originally from Los Angeles, California, I currently reside in Scotland with my husband. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of performing on live TV in Hairspray Live! and sharing the stage with Celebrity Cruises. I am grateful to have trained in heels dance classes under renowned choreographers such as Brinn Nicole, ZONTA, LARKE, and Nicole Kirkland, who have all inspired me to slay and bring my best to every performance.

I am deeply grateful for the training I received in Los Angeles, but throughout my journey, I couldn't help but feel like something was missing. Being a 6-foot, non-binary, queer individual, I often found myself feeling out of place in rooms predominantly filled with female-identifying individuals. Many saw me as a man in heels, and I wou

Being a 6-foot, non-binary, queer individual, I often found myself feeling out of place in rooms predominantly filled with female-identifying individuals. Many saw me as a man in heels, and I would often feel overlooked when participating in male groups in a heels class . The absence of gender-affirming language in heels dance classes made me feel invisible at times, as if my unique identity wasn't fully acknowledged or understood.
